AMI is seeking ambitious and talented Customer Growth Specialist, based in Nigeria, to support our team on a contractual, project-based engagement. An AMI Customer Growth Specialist is responsible for driving participant recruitment and programme sales by implementing effective sourcing strategies, cultivating strong relationships with prospective leaders and entrepreneurs, and converting qualified prospects into enrolled participants across AMI’s programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Programme Participant Recruitment
Develop and execute sourcing and recruitment strategies to drive participant enrollment in AMI's Impact programmes.
Generate and nurture a strong pipeline of prospective participants through targeted outreach, including cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, referrals, partnerships, and social media engagement.
Achieve recruitment and enrollment targets while ensuring a high-quality candidate experience throughout the engagement process.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with entrepreneurs, business leaders, industry associations, ecosystem partners, and other key stakeholders.
Serve as a trusted ambassador for AMI, effectively communicating programme value, eligibility criteria, application requirements, and participant benefits.
Foster long-term relationships with prospective participants and partners to support ongoing recruitment and referral opportunities.
Enrollment Management
Manage the end-to-end participant recruitment and enrollment process, from lead generation and qualification through application, selection, and onboarding.
Provide timely guidance and support to applicants, ensuring a seamless and positive enrollment experience.
Work closely with programme delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition from recruitment to programme participation.
Marketing and Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner with the Marketing and Communications team to develop and execute targeted campaigns, promotional materials, and recruitment initiatives that attract qualified applicants for programmes.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging, effective lead management, and alignment across recruitment activities.
Data Management and Reporting
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete records of recruitment activities, stakeholder engagements, and applicant progress within AMI's CRM system.
Track recruitment performance against key metrics and enrollment targets, preparing regular reports and actionable insights for programme leadership.
Use data to identify trends, evaluate recruitment effectiveness, and recommend improvements to sourcing and conversion strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Social Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years' experience in business development, sales, participant recruitment, partnership development, or a related role. Experience in business learning, entrepreneurship, or capacity-building programmes is an advantage.
Proven ability to generate, nurture, and convert leads into successful enrolments or sales, consistently meeting performance targets.
Strong relationship-building, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
Experience managing sales or recruitment pipelines using CRM systems (e.g. Zoho CRM) and proficiency with Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
Highly organised with strong project management, time management, and prioritisation skills, able to manage multiple opportunities from lead generation through to closure.
Entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working both independently and collaboratively.
