Customer Growth Associate
The African Management Initiative (AMI)
Critically, this role requires someone who understands the realities, motivations, and pain points of SMEs and MSMEs, and can translate those needs into the right AMI Entrepreneurship Programme. If you’re motivated by hitting targets and helping entrepreneurs access learning that genuinely fits their stage of business, this is the role for you. You will be at the heart of AMI’s mission, helping entrepreneurs unlock their potential. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where your success directly fuels the growth of African entrepreneurs and the programs that support them.
Drive enrolment: Proactively source, engage, and convert prospective participants for programmes like our Grow Your Business Programme or Micro Enterprise Accelerator Programme
Understand entrepreneur needs: Engage SME and MSME owners in needs-based conversations to assess business stage, challenges, and growth goals, and recommend the most relevant AMI programme.
Hit and exceed targets: Own your numbers—track leads, manage pipelines, and ensure your outreach converts.
Leverage multiple channels: Use calls, emails, social media, community networks, and events to reach potential participants.
Create meaningful connections: Build trust with entrepreneurs by clearly articulating how AMI programmes address real business challenges such as cash flow, market access, team management, and growth planning.
Partner with marketing: Support campaigns, content, and promotions that generate leads and increase enrolments.
Deliver a seamless onboarding experience: Ensure participants are set up for success from registration to programme start.
Report and optimize: Track your performance, share insights on entrepreneur needs and market feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement of sourcing strategies.
Be the voice of AMI: Share programme impact stories that inspire participation and build trust.
