Textile waste is a growing global challenge. Syre’s mission is to decarbonize and dewaste textiles, starting with the world's biggest fiber, polyester. By implementing true textile-to-textile recycling at hyperscale, we want to drive the transition from a linear to a circular value chain by putting textile waste to use, over and over again.

Then keep on reading, because Syre is now looking for someone with long experience of manufacturing related IT/OT. This crucial person will have responsibility from PLC to the cloud. As a Digital Director at Syre you will have a major impact on all the tech related decisions that will come and also be building the team that's gonna make it happen. This role reports to the CTO.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Develop and implement digital strategies to drive business growth, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure alignment across the organizational data ecosystem.
• Champion data-driven decision making cross-functionally across the organization.
• Identify and leverage data opportunities to drive business and innovation initiatives, including tech, operations, and commercial.
• Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across all data sources and systems.
• Promote a culture of stewardship and compliance with data protection regulations.
• Implement best practices for data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing, ensuring the scalability and performance of data infrastructure.
• Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics, business intelligence, and reporting solutions.
• Utilize data analytics to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities.
• Build a technical organization that can support the company goals.

Key Qualifications

• Senior profile with proven experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate data insights into business value.
• Proven track record in data management, analytics, and governance.
• Expertise in data architecture, data warehousing, big data technologies, and advanced analytics.
• Experience with data visualization tools and analytics platforms.
• Impact-oriented with a strong drive to get things done, deliver results, and optimize for speed globally (= start-up experience and mentality).
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• High ambitions with a constant drive for excellence, daring to challenge the status quo.
• Purpose-driven mentality, with a clear mission and passion for driving environmental change.

We would prefer if you

• Have experience in scaling tech from nothing to big in a IT/OT factory environment.
• Are fluent in English both orally and in writing (professional English required).
