Textile waste is a growing global challenge. Syre’s mission is to decarbonize and dewaste textiles, starting with the world's biggest fiber, polyester. By implementing true textile-to-textile recycling at hyperscale, we want to drive the transition from a linear to a circular value chain by putting textile waste to use, over and over again.

Do you have extensive knowledge of the textile industry? Are you located somewhere in Asia and possess a strong network with existing yarn spinners? Then come and join the great textile shift and be a pivotal team member in our growth journey! In this role, you would spearhead the partnership initiatives within the value chain, specifically focusing on potential spinning partners. Your primary objective is to establish and nurture strategic collaborations with key players in these segments. Working closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and the Head of Value Chain Development, you will take a lead in driving the operationalization of spinners’ partnerships, initially in priority market Vietnam and other Asian countries.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Map and understand potential spinning partners in focus markets
• Deep dive into each target partner and develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders to successfully develop partnership
• Drive ongoing partner dialogues to operationally establish value chain partnerships in target regions
• Drive ongoing development with spinning partner, involving and coordinating other key functions of Syre
• Create roadmap to capture long term volumes for through value chain network

We would prefer if you

• Have deep understanding of textile value chain across tier 1-2-3, primarily in Asia
• Contain existing relationship with yarn spinners, primarily in Asia
• Have deep experience in Asia, and already are located in Asia
• Have an analytical and business oriented mindset
• Proven experience with building strong professional relationships
• Are fluent in English both orally and in writing (professional English required), very beneficial if you know Chinese

You will be reporting to the CSO and will be located in Vietnam, Asia.
