We are seeking a Finance Assistant for a regular position to work within the Accounting & Finance Department at the International Vaccine Institute in Seoul, Korea. (Duty station: Seoul, Korea)
Job Description
The Finance Assistant in the Treasury Team is responsible for carrying out core financial operations, including accounts payable, payment processing, and bank reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. The role also supports the efficient operation of treasury-related processes and assists in operating ERP treasury systems to contribute to accurate financial reporting in line with US GAAP and internal control requirements.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Support accounts payable processing, payment execution, and reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy, compliance and efficiency
- Ensure compliance and accuracy of sub-award expense transactions.
- Execute accounts payable transactions, prepare payment lists, and liaise with banks for payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of bank statements and ERP/AP records.
- Perform advance settlements and related reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support reconciliation and reporting for internal controls and audits.
2. Administer corporate and project cards, including issuance, distribution, and payment processing, to ensure smooth card operations
- Support administration of corporate and project cards.
- Coordinate with card providers to ensure proper payment processing.
3. Fixed Asset support
- Register and update fixed assets in the ERP system to ensure coding accuracy.
- Maintain consistency and integrity of ERP asset data for reporting.
4. Provide administrative and documentation support to ensure systematic record-keeping and smooth financial operations
- Maintain organized filing and archiving of financial documents.
- Deliver documentation requested by internal and external stakeholders.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
1. Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- (Business, Accounting, or Economics)
2. Related Field Work Experience
- Over 2 years
3. Technical and Professional Skills / Knowledge
- Knowledge of accounting and ERP
4. Language Proficiency
- Fluency in English
