We are looking for a talented Process Engineer to contribute to our pioneering silicon production projects in Stockholm, Sweden. This role is perfect for someone passionate about engineering and eager to develop advanced silicon production processes using cutting-edge plasma technology. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with industry-leading OEM partners to refine silicon production techniques through innovative plasma reduction and refining processes.
  • Participate in evaluating and enhancing process proposals, ensuring they meet high safety standards while also offering opportunities for strategic improvements.
  • Engage in the design and execution of process controls and standardization, ensuring consistent and high-quality production outcomes.
  • Utilize your analytical skills to interpret data from various sources, identifying improvements and initiating new research directions.
  • Contribute to simulations, tests, and other activities that support the manufacture of components meeting the stringent requirements of new plasma metallurgical processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in silicon production and metallurgical processes.
  • Keen awareness of safety protocols, particularly in high-temperature production environments.
  • Experience with process development ranging from theoretical modeling to practical, commercial-scale implementation.
  • Proficient in English with strong communication skills to effectively collaborate in a diverse team setting.
  • Willing to work a few days per week onsite at our pilot facility, contributing to hands-on project development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with various metallurgical processes is highly valued, including powder metallurgy, thermal spray coating, and furnace operations.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance frameworks such as DFM, FMEA, and SPC, and their application in R&D and production settings.
  • A background in materials science, particularly silicon, and other commonly used industrial metals.

About Green14

GREEN14 (Green 14 AB) was founded in 2021, aiming to build a large-scale green silicon production facility in the Nordics. GREEN14 will produce 50 thousand tons of green solar grade silicon by 2030. By doing this, the company will contribute to the decarbonizing of the European silicon industry and secure European demand for this critical raw material. The founders and largest shareholders are Adam Podgorski and Jan Dinkelspiel.
