We are looking for a highly motivated and analytically strong Research Analyst, Stewardship to join our Stewardship team in Manila. In addition to conducting in-depth ESG research, this role will involve supporting engagements with publicly listed companies on behalf of institutional investor clients. The successful candidate will help assess company practices across a range of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) topics, support the development and execution of engagement strategies, and contribute to constructive dialogue with corporate issuers.
We are open to candidates at different levels of experience. Research Analyst candidates should demonstrate strong research capability, sound analytical thinking, and the potential to build subject-matter expertise in stewardship and ESG issues.
This role requires regular interaction with publicly listed companies and the ability to represent Glass Lewis and its clients in professional, well-informed engagement discussions. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a strong interest in ESG issues as well as evolving global trends and practices.
This role is a full-time employment and hybrid, based out of our Makati office, with regular in-person attendance three days a week.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Environmental Science, Public Policy / International Relations, Finance, Law, Corporate Governance, Sustainability, or a related field
- Relevant experience in ESG research, stewardship, sustainability, governance, public policy, investment research, risk, compliance, consulting, legal advisory, or related analytical work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to analyse complex information and communicate findings clearly
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficiency in research, data collection, and analysis tools such as Excel; familiarity with company disclosures and source-document review is an advantage
- Demonstrate strong foundational research and analytical capability and the potential to grow into the role
- CFA, ESG Investing Certificate, SASB FSA, or other relevant ESG or stewardship-related certifications are a plus
- Conduct in-depth ESG research across various industries, focusing on identifying and assessing companies’ strengths, areas for improvement, and risks related to a range of ESG issues
- Engage directly with companies, including preparing for and participating in meetings, drafting engagement questions, ensuring follow-up correspondence, and documenting outcomes in internal systems
- Support the design and execution of engagement campaigns on behalf of institutional investor clients
- Prepare clear research summaries, engagement notes, and other written outputs for internal and client audiences
- Stay abreast of ESG trends and evaluate their implications for investors and companies
- Develop and maintain expertise in specific ESG issue areas to strengthen internal knowledge and support high-quality research and engagement
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and identify opportunities for efficiency, standardisation, and continuous enhancement of research and engagement practices
- Ensure all work is conducted in line with applicable data privacy and confidentiality requirements, with particular care for sensitive company and client information
