For more information, please visit www.glasslewis.com. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Systems Administrator to join our global IT Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our Microsoft 365 accounts including 3rd party applications, Windows servers on bare metal and ESXi / HyperV infrastructure, Meraki network equipment, Azure production infrastructure and desktop infrastructure. Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS (10/11) and Windows Server administration.
  • Expertise in Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, and networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure) and virtualisation technologies (Hyper V and ESXi).
  • Experience with security frameworks and tools (e.g., intrusion detection, vulnerability assessments).
  • Understanding of audit and compliance requirements (SOC1, SOC2, GDPR).
  • Proficiency in backup strategies, patch management, and change control processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in enterprise environments;
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and methodologies;
  • Experience in Linux administration;
  • Fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP.
  • Infrastructure Management
    • Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure AD.
    • Manage virtualisation platforms and virtual desktops.
    • Oversee network security controls including firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Security & Compliance
    • Implement and monitor security measures (e.g., DDoS protection, vulnerability management, SOC1/SOC2 compliance).
    • Ensure adherence to IT General Controls for access management, authentication, and change management.
    • Collaborate with auditors to complete IT questionnaires and provide evidence for regulatory audits.
  • Operational Support
    • Provision new accounts and manage user access rights.
    • Perform system updates, patches, and backups (daily, weekly, monthly rotation).
    • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and escalate where necessary.
  • Project & Vendor Management
    • Support procurement and configuration of hardware (e.g., Cisco Meraki, monitors, docking stations).
    • Liaise with vendors for installation, configuration, and service agreements.
  • Monitoring & Incident Response
    • Utilise tools like Rapid7 for real-time monitoring and incident response.
    • Maintain documentation for IT controls and remediation plans.
