What does the role entail?
As a Scientist/Engineer Bioprocess Development (m/f/d) you are part of our Bioprocess Development Team and play a crucial role in the development of innovative cell culture processes for the production of cultured fish. Your tasks include:

  • Development and optimization of upstream processes for the cultivation of various fish cell lines - from laboratory scale to pilot production.
  • Conducting experiments to develop feeding strategies and optimize process parameters.
  • Participation in scale-up and production projects for industrial application.
  • Development of innovative process solutions to increase efficiency and improve cell culture processes.
  • Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams with colleagues from the areas of Media Development, Product Development, Quality and Regulatory.
  • Presentation and discussion of scientific results and ideas in the Bioprocess Development Team, in R&D meetings, company-wide meetings and at conferences.

What skills and experiences should you bring to the table?
  • Completed studies (M.Sc., Ph.D.) in Biotechnology, Biology, Bioprocess Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field, or a comparable education with relevant professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience with bioreactors/spinner flasks and (suspension-based) cell culture.
  • Ideally experience in filtration, perfusion, scale-up, pilot production and metabolic studies.
  • Enjoyment of working in a team and good communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset, troubleshooting skills and a solution-oriented way of working.
  • Passion for sustainability and the future of food.
Starting date
1st of June 2025 (earlier possible)
