Strategic Operations Manager
About Agteria
Agteria is an AI discovery company for food production. We find novel solutions and mechanisms for agricultural and food-production problems, and validate them in our wet lab before licensing them to partners. Our first product is a methane inhibitor for cattle, and we have a pipeline of compounds moving through discovery.
We run fast, our AI platform proposes novel candidates in days and the wet lab validates them. That tight loop between computation and bench is what lets a small team discover and ship products at a pace most R&D organisations cannot match. We fail fast, learn quickly, and hire for work ethic, integrity, and intelligence above anything else.
We are a small, talent-dense team backed by some of the best investors in deep tech and impact. We highly value low ego, high ownership, and high velocity.
The role
We are looking for a Strategic Operations Manager to work side by side with the COO and co-founder to become the operational backbone of Agteria. This is a high-leverage role for someone who wants to learn how a physical AI company is built from the inside, by doing every part of it.
You'll move across our most critical initiatives, from strategy and operations to partnerships and the work of scaling the company itself. In practice, that means owning, or getting your hands dirty, in a bit of everything:
Project execution: own the strategic and operational projects that move Agteria forward, end to end. Build the plan, coordinate the moving pieces across partnerships, ops, and growth.
Strategic planning: help shape the goals, run market research, and turn priorities into plans and metrics the team can run with.
Financial management: planning and analysis, forecasts and budgets, financial services and controls.
Investor reporting: compile the reports, metrics, and board updates.
Processes and systems: build and optimise internal workflows and tools to lift efficiency, cut cost, and let a small team scale.
Tools and policies: identify, plan, and implement what the company needs to grow.
People and culture: help recruit and manage the team and build the foundation for a high-performing culture.
Who you are
You are a generalist who is fast, organised, and thrives in switching context ten times a day. You anticipate what is needed before it is asked for, and follow through without being chased. You think two steps ahead and you are comfortable holding the details when everyone else is in the air.
You want to be part of building a company, and you understand that the way to get the most out of it is to learn to do everything. You enjoy systems, but will adapt them when speed matters more. You have high judgement on what matters and what does not, you take real ownership, and you make the people around you better.
What you bring
A history of starting, running, and finishing projects independently and on tight deadlines
Sharp analytical thinking and the judgement to make sense of messy information, and turn it into clear, data-driven recommendations
Strong financial judgement, with a track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
Executive-grade written and verbal English: investor memos, board updates, and internal comms that are polished, high-signal, and fast
Strong tooling fluency across Claude Code, Notion, Google Workspace, and Slack, and the willingness to learn anything else fast
3-5 years in a scale-up, consulting, business operations, or venture capital
BSc or MSc in Business, Economics, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering with a finance, or equivalent
Why join Agteria
Few jobs let you see how a venture-backed AI company is built from the inside. You will work with a fast-moving, deeply ambitious team on a problem that matters, from an office in Stockholm. This is a role for someone who wants to be part of building something real, in an environment with high tempo, big responsibility, and even bigger opportunities.
