CONTEXT
Within AGL's IT Department, attached to the CIO office department, we are recruiting for a permanent contract an IT Operational Excellence & Transformation Project Leader to join the team Operational Excellencies.
JOB FUNCTION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and coordinate ExOp IT projects within the MIS scope, ensuring alignment with governance, performance, and operational excellence standards.

Analyze IT operational processes and practices to identify inefficiencies, improvement opportunities, and optimization levers.

Detect and formalize automation and digitalization opportunities applicable to IT activities (process automation, tool usage optimization, IT operations support).

Identify and qualify AI use cases across MIS activities to improve operational efficiency, automation, and service performance.

Support the implementation and follow-up of improvement action plans in coordination with central ExOp teams.

Contribute to change management activities related to MIS transformation initiatives (communication, adoption support, user feedback collection).

Act as a local coordination point within a DSI extended organization, ensuring proper application of governance, processes, and operational standards.

Participate in operational diagnostics and continuous improvement workshops across MIS teams.

Ensure clear and regular communication with stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and improvement initiatives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.

Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in IT operations, IT project coordination, continuous improvement, or digital transformation environments.

Prior experience working within into an MIS or IT operational context is a strong advantage.

Exposure to multi-site or multinational IT environments is highly valued.

Experience contributing to improvement, automation, or change initiatives is a plus.

Ability to work in a bilingual professional environment (French / English).
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

Good understanding of IT operations and service delivery processes.

Ability to analyze processes, workflows, and operational data.

Familiarity with automation concepts, digital tools, and IT optimization practices.

Basic understanding of AI or intelligent automation concepts applied to IT operations is a plus.

Proficiency with common office and collaboration tools (Excel, PowerPoint, collaboration platforms).

Ability to structure reporting, dashboards, and action tracking.

Basic understanding of IT environments (applications, infrastructure, support processes).

Professional working proficiency in French, both written and spoken.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

The role is based at the Norrsken House Kigali.

Occasional collaboration with MIS teams in Paris, Abidjan, Johannesburg, and with external vendors may be required.

Fluent English required; Advanced French is a strong asset.
📍 Position based in Kigali (Rwanda). Occasional travel to be planned.
