What you’ll work on

You would work with forward-thinking drone department specializing in high-performance, fixed-wing UAVs. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced UAV Test Pilot to join our team based in Brno. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our field operations, logging extensive test hours to ensure our platforms are robust, reliable, and ready for deployment. This position is highly dynamic and field-heavy, perfect for someone who loves to fly and problem-solve on the go.

Your mission will include

• Conduct extensive flight testing and log high volumes of flight hours to validate platform performance.
• Travel frequently to regional test sites (typically 1-2 hours from Brno) during the workday, with occasional international travel required.
• Perform rigorous technical inspections and pre-flight preparations of UAV platforms.
• Operate and test various UAV types, with a primary focus on fixed-wing systems (utilizing your broader knowledge of VTOL and quadcopters).
• Execute flight missions for the collection of various types of aerial data.
• Interact with and configure drone firmware to optimize flight performance and troubleshoot issues directly in the field.
• Communicate effectively with customers and clients to address inquiries, provide updates, and support project objectives.

What you bring

• Proven experience piloting various types of UAVs, including fixed-wing, VTOL, and quadcopters.
• Solid knowledge of UAV firmware and flight control systems.
• Hands-on experience with the technical inspection and pre-flight setup of drone platforms.
• A valid driver’s license (Category B) and comfort with frequent driving.
• Willingness to travel extensively both locally (South Moravian region and beyond) and internationally.
• Working proficiency in English.
• Ability to work independently in the field and adapt to changing weather or technical conditions.
