We work with forward-thinking organizations across sectors like sustainability, logistics, Agriculture, e-governance, e-commerce, finance, etc. With over a decade of experience, a growing team, and offices in Kigali and Delft (Netherlands), Awesomity is now entering its next phase of international growth. That’s where you come in.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Business Developer to lead and support our expansion efforts in Europe and the US. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, generating leads, nurturing relationships, and helping us close deals with the right partners and clients. You will also manage our ambassador program and play a key role in optimizing our outreach strategies and online presence. You will work closely with our Managing Partner based in the Netherlands, and collaborate with both the leadership and delivery teams to ensure a seamless client experience from first contact to contract.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Business Development
● Identify and qualify new business opportunities in Europe and the US.
● Own and manage the outbound sales funnel: from prospecting to closing.
● Convert leads into long-term client relationships, aligned with our Technology Department as a Service model.
2. Outreach & CRM Management
● Develop and execute multi-channel outreach strategies (LinkedIn, email, networking). Maintain accurate records using Monday.com (CRM) and track progress against outreach and conversion KPIs.
3. Ambassador Program & Partnerships
● Manage and grow Awesomity’s Ambassador Program, our network of trusted partners helping generate leads in target markets.
● Cultivate relationships with strategic partners, accelerators, sourcing advisors, and relevant ecosystem stakeholders.
4. Social Media & Brand Presence
● Manage Awesomity’s social media accounts (LinkedIn, Twitter/X /Facebook, etc.) to enhance visibility and attract potential leads.
5. International Events & Market Representation
● Support and prepare for participation in international events, expos, and business delegations.
● Coordinate closely with the Netherlands-based partner to align efforts and messaging in key markets.
6. Reporting & KPIs
● Track and report on: number of leads generated, number of qualified meetings booked, deals closed, partnerships formed, ambassador network growth.
What We’re Looking For
● 1–4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or international sales.
● Familiarity with the tech/outsourcing sector and B2B services.
● Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
● Proficiency in using LinkedIn, CRM tools (e.g., Monday.com), and lead generation techniques. ● Understanding of European or US markets and business culture.
● Self-driven and comfortable working across time zones and functions.
● English fluency required; French, Dutch, or German is a plus.
What We Offer
● A unique opportunity to contribute to one of Africa’s leading digital export stories.
● A collaborative and high-impact work culture.
● Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives.
● Room to grow and shape the direction of your role.
● Opportunities to engage with global networks, industry events, and innovation hubs.
