Every year, 99% of over 50 million tons of healthcare waste (one of the best quality polymers in the world) is incinerated or landfilled, releasing toxins and wasting critical material resources. At the same time, the construction industry, responsible for 50% of all natural resource exploitation, faces material shortages, rising costs, and regulatory pressure to decarbonize. Yet, these two systems remain completely disconnected Healthcare waste alone could insulate the 187,5 million homes in the EU and UK needing insulation upgrade. The first production system could process 6,700 tons of waste annually. This isn't a niche. This is a new resource model for cities, turning a global waste crisis into a sustainable supply chain for construction. In everything we do, we believe in challenging the status quo around waste. We designed a replicable technology capable of upcycling >70% of healthcare waste into local products on a global scale. With a single production line, we can craft certified, high-performance circular products, including thermal and acoustic insulation, rigid boards, and pellets for the construction and design industries.
