What impact you will have

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Design Architect to lead the planning, design, and technical governance of mission-critical data center facilities. This role is responsible for data center master planning, detailed design and spatial planning for all MEP equipment including both liquid cooled (Immersion and direct to chip) and air-cooled setups.

What you’ll do

· Lead end-to-end data centre architectural design in coordination with power, cooling, space, cabling, and physical security team.

· Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed designs for new builds, expansions, and retrofits.

· Base building architectural design including: drawings, BOQ, specifications, make list, costing, GFC drawings site issue resolution etc.

· Fit out architectural designs including drawings, BOQ, specifications, make list, costing, GFC drawings site issue resolution etc.

· Experience of coordinating with licensing agency with required documents for applicable local / state / national level building permits from competent authority.

· Define design standards, reference architectures, and best practices.

· Ensure compliance with Uptime Institute (Tier I–IV), TIA-942 C, ISO, ASHRAE, NFPA, and local codes.

· Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, structural, controls, and structural teams to integrate architectural design into coordinated facility designs.

· Review and support submittals, shop drawings, procurement packages, and equipment selections.

· Oversee field investigations, site surveys, construction support with GFC drawings, and commissioning activities.

· Mentor junior architects, conducting technical reviews and providing guidance on best practices.

· Support continuous improvement of internal design standards, QA/QC procedures, and documentation.

· Assess and evaluate emerging technologies to improve efficiency, sustainability, and resiliency in facility designs.

What you’ll need

· Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Architectural or a related field.

· 10+ years of architectural experience, preferably in data centers.

· Strong knowledge of architectural design. Also, should have ability to understand the MEP and structural elements of datacenter design.

· Proficiency in CAD platforms (AutoCAD, Revit) and engineering analysis software.

· Solid understanding of ASHRAE standards, mechanical codes, and MEP best practices.

· Experience with construction administration, field inspections, and commissioning.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Experience leading small teams or mentoring junior engineers.

· Willingness to travel for site assessments, construction support, and commissioning activities.
