What impact you will have

This is not just a project management role, it is about building the foundation of Submer’s Design & Build operations in Saudi Arabia and MEA. You will lead transformational AI data center projects, working alongside Submer’s global Design & Build hub and directly shaping the delivery capability in the region. From negotiating with contractors and partners to building and mentoring a local project team, your leadership will define how Submer executes Vision 2030-aligned mega projects and high-tech, sustainable data centers of the future.

What you’ll do

• Lead strategic, large-scale AI & HPC data center projects, from concept to commissioning.
• Own negotiations, contracts, and stakeholder alignment with EPCs, global OEMs, subcontractors, and customers.
• Build and manage the regional Design & Build team, ensuring knowledge transfer and long-term capability in Saudi.
• Act as a trusted advisor to government, enterprise, and strategic partners in the ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Submer’s global Design & Build hub to align execution standards and methodologies.
• Drive budget planning, risk management, claims, and commercial governance.
• Contribute to Submer’s thought leadership in sustainable and next-generation data centers, representing the company at key forums.
• Provide field feedback to improve Submer’s products, services, and delivery processes.
• Be prepared for extensive travel across MEA and hybrid work flexibility.

What you’ll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related).
• 15+ years’ EPC / mega project management experience, preferably in mission-critical facilities (data centers, oil & gas, utilities, infrastructure).
• Proven success leading multidisciplinary, multi-billion-dollar projects in Saudi Arabia or GCC.
• Strong expertise in stakeholder management, commercial negotiations, and cross-discipline interface management.
• Experience in team-building, mentoring, and establishing new delivery organizations.
• Fluency in Arabic and English; Japanese or additional languages a plus.
• PMP or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
