We're looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to creating top-tier software solutions that power our products.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with development teams and product managers to design and architect functional and technical software solutions.
- Develop and manage databases and applications.
- Create secure, high-performance software.
- Design and maintain integrations with other systems using API Rest, SNMP, and other protocols. You will also explore integration with cloud-based IoT platforms for remote monitoring and data analytics.
- Write software using best practices and maintain a high-quality codebase.
- Develop tests to ensure software resilience.
- Review peers' work to maintain code quality.
- Work closely with front-end developers to ensure a smooth user experience.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration between software and hardware components.
- Engage with physical SmartPod systems to understand their operation and identify improvements.
- Contribute to backlog refinement sessions, providing technical insights for feature development.
- Write and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
- Monitor and maintain software in production environments.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a backend developer, ideally with Go.
- Ideally, strong knowledge of architecture and design of Linux embedded systems (ARM-based micro PC).
- Ideally, experience in system modularity, scalability, and external system communication.
- Ideally, experience working in air-gapped environments (no internet connection).
- Ideally, experience developing applications for large datasets.
- Ideally, familiarity with real-time protocols (e.g., MQTT, SSE).
- Ideally, knowledge of front-end development (e.g., React) and familiarity with data center environments and IoT.
- Proactive approach within an AGILE team environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills and passion for technology and continuous learning.
- Creative and analytical mindset, with the ability to propose technical solutions.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
