About The Role And The CandidateWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Lab Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our research and customer lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of lab operations, including equipment maintenance, safety protocols, experimental design, data collection and analysis, project management, and personnel management. The Lab Manager will work closely with the research team to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.This is a great opportunity for the right individual to join a dynamic team to help shape what will certainly be a very cool future! ResponsabilitiesYou will be involved in:

• Work with customers and partners, including server and silicon vendors, to define and set up lab experiments and test rigs.
• Manage day-to-day lab operations, including equipment maintenance, safety protocols, experimental design, data collection and analysis, project management, and personnel management
• Work closely with the engineering and project teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality
• Develop and maintain laboratory policies and procedures
• Coordinate with external partners and collaborators
• Manage lab budgets and resources
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to researchers and support staff
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Drive customer-related lab projects and present project results
• Maintain a safe and efficient working environment

Candidate Specific Competences To Perform In This Job, You’ll Likely Have

• Minimum master’s degree, preferably PhD in mechanical engineering or related field
• The successful candidate will ideally have 5-10 years of work experience in R&D facilities, research institutes, or universities.
• Previous experience as a Thermal Engineer, ideally in the thermal management of electronics or data centres, is highly desirable.
• The candidate should have a proven track record of publications, including journal articles, conference papers, and patents.
