What you'll do

As the Head of Engineering you will be a part of the leadership team, providing a strong technical voice to our strategic decisions. Sircular being a startup, we see that you will work both strategically and operationally, working closely with the engineering team and contributing to their daily discussions. We are just about to enter our aggressive expansion phase, which means that you will be a critical person in the growth of the team and the business. Some things you’ll be doing:

• Together with our CPO and our Lead Architect, you will form the product triad responsible for delivering a successful product to the market
• Make critical technology decisions
• Constantly reassess the ways of working for the team
• Attract, recruit and retain top talents
• Continuously coach your team members
• Take a lead role in our DevOps transformation
• Contribute to designing and implementing solutions

What you'll bring

You have strong operational experience as a software engineer (BE and/or solutions architect), and are now looking to take the next step in your career. You are interested in how good technology and design can solve real problems for users. You have:

• The ability to contribute to and align with the company’s business strategy and rally the team behind it
• You enjoy coaching and supporting people on your team
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deal with complexity - our team is made of software engineers, not coders
• Doer attitude - you look forward to actively contribute to the codebase to support the team
• Experience with several of the following: architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity
• We have big ML ambitions, experience within data engineering and data science is a strong plus
• Having led teams before is a plus, but not a requirement as long as you have the right attitude and are eager to learn
