About Sand

Sand Technologies is a fast-growing enterprise AI product company that solves real-world problems for large blue-chip companies and governments worldwide.

We’re pioneers of meaningful AI: our solutions go far beyond chatbots. We are using data and AI to solve the world’s biggest issues in telecommunications, sustainable water management, energy, healthcare, climate change, smart cities, and other areas that have a real impact on the world. For example, our AI systems help to manage the water supply for the entire city of London. We created the AI algorithms that enabled the 7th largest telecommunications company in the world to plan its network in 300 cities in record time. And we built a digital healthcare system that enables 30m people in a country to get world-class healthcare despite a shortage of doctors.

We’ve grown our revenues by over 500% in the last 12 months while winning prestigious scientific and industry awards for our cutting-edge technology. We’re underpinned by over 300 engineers and scientists working across Africa, Europe, the UK and the US.

About the Role

Sand Technologies is building data-driven infrastructure that connects health posts to connectivity networks, solar providers, and digital systems. We’re looking for a Product Owner – Partner Integrations to sit at the intersection of product and partnerships, helping bring our ecosystem of partners to life through seamless technical and operational integrations.

You’ll own the roadmap and execution for partner integrations — from national data systems and EMRs to solar and connectivity providers — ensuring our platform can plug into the broader digital landscape. This role requires a balance of strategic systems thinking, stakeholder management, and hands-on delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integration Ownership: Define and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of partner integrations — from scoping and prioritization to testing and rollout.

  • Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal product, engineering, and partnerships teams to translate partner requirements into scalable, productized solutions and pilots.

  • Partner Collaboration: Work directly with external partners (e.g., EMR vendors, telecom operators, solar providers, data partners) to align technical specifications, APIs, and success metrics across all countries for expansion.

  • Roadmap Development: Maintain an integration roadmap that aligns with Sand’s strategic goals and partnership pipeline.

  • Documentation & Standards: Develop clear integration documentation, ensuring consistency, reliability, and reusability across all partner connections.

  • Performance & Insights: Monitor and evaluate integration performance, identifying opportunities for improvement or new features.

  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify bottlenecks, gaps, or risks in the integration process and lead solutions with relevant stakeholders.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 4–6+ years of experience in product management, technical partnerships, platform integrations, or Business Analysis
  • Proven track record working with APIs, data systems, or third-party integrations in sectors such as health, energy, or connectivity.
  • Strong understanding of system interoperability (especially in contexts like EMRs, national health data systems, IoT, or payments).
  • Excellent project management and communication skills — comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience in emerging markets or with distributed infrastructure products is a plus.
  • Technical background or familiarity with software development processes (e.g., Agile, API design, or data architecture) preferred.

You’ll Thrive In This Role If You

  • Enjoy building bridges between partners, systems, and teams.
  • Are both detail-oriented and comfortable thinking at a systems level.
  • Can balance structure and flexibility in fast-moving environments.
  • Believe technology can accelerate access and impact in emerging markets.
