ABOUT THE ROLE

This role will:

  • Be accountable for account leadership for key accounts in Telco. They will direct business development and work winning activities to deliver the growth strategy for these accounts as well as support overarching Telco strategy.
  • Drive new business for these accounts and play a key role in developing products that align to value creation and meeting needs of client stakeholders.
  • Taking accountability for client proposals to secure new business will also be a key focus for the role along with demonstrable interest / capability in data / digital / AI.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of AI projects, managing end-to-end processes from conception to completion. This includes orchestrating project teams, managing timelines and budgets, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

SPECIFIC DELIVERY KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage early to build deep understanding of what Sand Technologies does and value proposition (including Social Impact - Academy, Business Impact - Enterprise and core skills in data and AI differentiation).
  • Responsible for identifying, defining and owning customer relationship activities for key accounts in telco building senior stakeholder engagement and buy in to Sand Tech.
  • Own and oversee the end-to-end delivery of large programs, ensuring they meet our high standards of excellence and deliver substantial value to our clients. Your responsibilities will include orchestrating project teams, managing resources, and leading initiatives that drive innovation and efficiency.
  • A key aspect of the role will be to identify key opportunities for Sand Technologies to deliver value with solutions and products that enable client strategic, business and regulatory outcomes to be achieved.
  • Proactively network to establish relationships with key customers and to develop key networking avenues to generate new business opportunities.
  • Draw out bespoke needs, shaping solutions along with proofs that build on and demonstrate our industry leading expertise in AI and enable wider product development and deployment.
  • Work with MD Telco and CPO, develop products and pricing strategies that support our scaling and growth plans. Provide industry or market intelligence/insight regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas.
  • Support the MD Telco with events and marketing activities to positively raise our brand in the sector with impactful pitches and presentations.
  • Support account delivery teams and leaders with people development and succession to ensure sustained account growth.
  • Manage relevant account information within our customer information repository / Customer Relationship Management system.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR AS AN IDEAL CANDIDATE?

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 10 years experience ideally working in consulting / Professional Services across regulated business sectors (utilities, telco, infrastructure, preferably telco) and demonstrable experience building trusted senior level relationships within client accounts that delivered valued business propositions and outcomes.
  • Experience of working with new ventures or businesses scaling environments in a Data Science capacity

KEY SKILLS

  • Consultative skills ideally in the Telco sector but open to wider Utilities or Infrastructure; Product or service proposition business development experience.
  • Data, software and AI experience as well as the ability to adapt product and service offerings based on sector trends, regulatory environment and legislative changes.
  • Demonstrated an ability to own and manage the end-to-end delivery of large programs, showcasing exceptional leadership and project management skills.
  • Proven capability to drive new sales and grow accounts, with a strategic approach to business development and a keen understanding of market dynamics. These skills are critical to our mission of transforming companies with AI technology and achieving substantial growth in our key water accounts.
