Role Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to support the Healthcare team with budgeting, financial reporting, and internal financial control. This role is embedded in the Healthcare business unit and acts as a key link between the operational and finance teams — ensuring accurate spend tracking, timely reporting, and adherence to internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations & Admin:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable specific to the Healthcare unit
- Prepare and process invoices, supplier payments, and staff reimbursements
- Provide data to group finance in a timely manner
- Reconcile Healthcare-related bank transactions
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes for the unit
- Maintain accurate records of healthcare-specific financial documents and contracts
Reporting & Analysis:
- Internal Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger management.
- Reporting for Foundations: Prepare and submit detailed financial reports to foundation partners and funders, ensuring adherence to grant agreements and reporting requirements.
- Prepare monthly management reports for the Healthcare team
- Assist with internal performance reporting, including cost center analysis
- Assist with bi-annual and annual financial audits
Internal Support & Compliance:
- Work closely with the operational team to support financial queries and reporting needs
- Liaise with Group Finance for intercompany allocations, shared costs, and audit requirements
- Ensure compliance with financial controls and procurement policies
- Support ad hoc financial projects and process improvements in the Healthcare unit
Skill Requirements - Preferable
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance or accounting role
- Strong Excel and accounting system skills (NetSuite or similar is a plus)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment
