ABOUT RHOS

The Rural Health Operating System (RHOS) is a Sand Technologies project that is reimagining rural healthcare delivery across Africa. RHOS seamlessly integrates technology, people, and processes to gather high-quality data from rural health posts, empowering healthcare leaders with real-time data for informed decision-making. This data is managed at our Health Intelligence Center, known as the Blueroom, which is also where the RHOS team provides tech and operational support to health posts to facilitate their delivery of high quality cost-effective care to rural populations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are revolutionizing rural healthcare with cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions that leverage tech and operational optimization to support the health workforce. Our mission is to maximize the capacity of healthcare workers to deliver high quality, sustainable, accessible primary healthcare across Africa, ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare for all.

We are looking for a Launcher to join our team who will work closely with the Ministry of Health (MoH) and our health system clients. Your role bridges implementation with capacity building. You will be the strategic and operational anchor for all in-country activities—from managing the intelligence center launch to driving partnerships with Ministries of Health. .

Our ideal candidate for this role is customer-obsessed, deeply curious, and adaptable in a dynamic environment. We’re looking for someone who will help define and scale our healthcare solutions as we continue to grow and expand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of ICT, and other government entities to build trust and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the Health Intelligence Center’s setup and launch in Burkina Faso, ensuring timely delivery, operational readiness, and measurable impact.
  • Own the end-to-end implementation process, including planning, execution, and tracking of project milestones, budgets, and outcomes.
  • Conduct needs assessments and work with cross-functional teams to tailor digital health solutions to local requirements. Translate client needs into clear technical specifications for the engineering team.
  • Design and facilitate engaging training sessions for health system staff, ensuring users are equipped to adopt and utilize the platform effectively.
  • Collect feedback from users and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and collaborate with product teams to iterate and enhance the solution.
  • Proactively identify and resolve implementation challenges in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the public and private sectors.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience (5 years +) managing complex implementation projects in healthcare or digital health.
  • Demonstrated success engaging government stakeholders and navigating public sector environments, especially in Burkina Faso.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Comfortable working in rural or under-resourced settings and coordinating across distributed teams.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Fluent in French and proficient in English (spoken and written).
  • Willingness to travel within Burkina Faso as required.
  • Must be based in Burkina Faso.

Due to the considerable amount of virtual work and interaction with colleagues and customers in different physical locations internationally, it is essential that the successful applicant has the drive and ethic to succeed in working in small teams physically but in larger efforts virtually. Self-drive to communicate constantly using web collaboration and video conferencing is essential.
