Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) was established by Law N° 009/2021 of 16/02/2021 that determines its mission and vision. The mandate of RSSB is to administer social security in the country. RSSB has a legal personality, administrative and financial autonomy, and is supervised by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MINECOFIN). RSSB manages 6 schemes, namely: Pension, Occupational Hazard, Medical Scheme, CBHI, Maternity Leave Benefits, and Ejoheza (Long Term Saving Scheme).
