At Renasens, we’re a small team building something ambitious: a textile recycling technology that will change the world.

We are now entering our next chapter. In Borås, we’re building the world’s first-of-its-kind pilot plant that will demonstrate what scalable, high-quality textile recycling can look like. To make it happen, we’re looking for curious and ambitious people who want their work to matter.

If you’re excited by hard problems, inspired by scaling innovation, and eager to shape a technology with global impact, you’ll feel at home here.

Join us, and help build something that will change the world.

Textile Engineer

About us
At Renasens, we’re a small team building something ambitious: a textile recycling technology that will change the world.
We have developed a waterless process using minimal energy and chemicals with a neutral impact on fiber quality. This allows us to recycle the most challenging textile waste: blended post-consumer polycotton in any colour, with any additives, composition, or quality, utilizing what is currently the most common yet unwanted fraction of textile waste.
We are now building a first-of-its kind facility in Borås, Sweden and looking for brilliant people to join our journey.
Role overview
We are seeking a skilled Textile Engineer with strong expertise in mechanical processing, including experience with recycling and quality control processes. In this role, you will support day-to-day production, conduct tests, and work hands-on with our equipment and processes to ensure high-quality output.
Your insights will also help us identify improvements and drive continuous optimization across technology to scale from laboratory to pilot scale.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the physical separation part of our recycling process.
Perform detailed material characterization and analysis of recycled fibers and textiles to ensure quality and performance.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to integrate recycled fibers into product development and manufacturing processes.
Design and execute experimental plans, analyze data, and provide technical recommendations for process improvements.
Contribute to the scale-up of our technology from laboratory to pilot and industrial stages.
Qualifications
Textile Engineer with a master's or PhD in textile engineering or material science, preferably with experience in advanced textile technologies.
Proven experience in various mechanical recycling processes and technologies, including but not limited to shredding, granulation, and separation techniques.
Experience with textile testing methods and equipment (e.g., tensile strength, colourfastness, abrasion resistance).
Proven ability to manage research projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Compensation & Benefits
