About us
A concentrated, ultra hands-on VC fund building world-changing companies with Europe’s best scientists and engineers.
Norrsken Launcher is an impact deep tech VC fund – part of the Norrsken ecosystem – investing in early-stage companies that can transform the future for people and the planet. We partner with world-class scientists and engineers to industrialize, commercialize, and scale groundbreaking technologies.
We’re a close-knit team of company builders and operators, bringing an entrepreneurial spirit to every project we back. With a combined track record of founding, funding, or building 15 unicorns, we’re now channeling that expertise toward solving humanity’s biggest challenges.
We invest in 2–4 companies per year and get deeply operationally involved working side-by-side with founders, in a way most VCs can’t.
Our portfolio includes game-changing companies in next-generation diagnostics, stem cells, small nuclear reactors, plastic alternatives, textile recycling, hydropower, and clean air technologies.
About the role
We’re always looking for exceptionally ambitious students with grit, curiosity, and a belief in our mission to make the world a better place through the power of entrepreneurship and innovation.
We’re now looking for an Investment Intern to join our team in Stockholm for a 6–12 month internship starting in 2026 (exact timing is flexible). We continuously review applications and recruit on a rolling basis. The internship is paid and part-time alongside your studies.
There’s some flexibility to work remotely, but we expect you to be mostly based at the Norrsken House for the best learning experience. The Norrsken House is about a five-minute walk from both SSE and KTH.
As an intern, you’ll work alongside our investment team to evaluate new technologies, analyse markets, and support founders building world-changing companies. You’ll gain hands-on experience across the full investment process: from sourcing and screening deals to due diligence, financial modelling, and portfolio support.
You’ll learn what it’s like to work at one of Europe’s most hands-on impact VC funds, and play a part in turning world-class research and innovation into world-changing companies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support the investment team in preparing materials for investment discussions and due diligence, including presentations and financial models.
Research companies, industries, technologies, and business models to help the team build a deeper understanding before investment decisions.
Assist in sourcing and screening new investment opportunities and meeting early-stage founders.
Help track inbound leads, manage the deal flow pipeline, and maintain our internal databases.
Contribute to portfolio company projects, from market research and strategy support to pitch deck preparation.
Support internal projects such as fund reporting, valuations, and process improvements alongside the investment and finance teams.
You’re the right fit if you:
- Are driven by a desire to make the world a better place and believe in the power of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Are a team player who’s humble, proactive, and eager to learn.
Are curious and love exploring new ideas and technologies.
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take initiative and ownership.
Are detail-oriented and structured in your work.
Feel confident using Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides (bonus if you’ve built financial models or pitch decks before).
Communicate clearly and write well in English (Swedish is not required).
Are studying for a BSc or MSc at a top university in business, economics, engineering, or science.
Bonus: you have previous internship experience – ideally in investment banking, management consulting, venture capital, or private equity.
Norrsken Launcher aims to attract, recruit, and retain a diverse, inclusive, and creative team to give us the best opportunity to meet the diverse needs of our fund. We actively encourage applications from all backgrounds and communities.
How to apply
This is a part-time internship based at Norrsken House in Stockholm. A valid work permit for Sweden/EU is required.
We review and recruit continuously, aiming to always have at least one intern on the team.
Our recruitment process includes:
A short video presentation of yourself
Alva Labs online logical and personality assessments
Interviews with members of our team
A small practical case assignment to give you a feel for the role – and us a feel for your approach
We use AI every day and expect you to do the same – but we’re hiring a human, not an AI agent. Invest time and effort in your application, be well prepared, and we’ll invest in you.
