Summary: The Strategic Partnerships and Communications (SPC) Department is offering two full-time or part-time internship opportunities for the Spring term of 2025. The internship may focus on Communications and/or Strategic Partnerships, depending on the internship candidate’s background and interests. The internship will be based in our office in Lund, Sweden and will be supervised by the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Communications.

Communications Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Support all aspects of communications planning and implementation, including research, production and management, presentation and promotion, and monitoring and evaluation. This includes project communications support across the Institute’s various departments and country/regional offices.
  • Write, edit, and help plan text and multimedia content, including news items, blogposts, press releases, interviews, newsletters, and podcasts.
  • Support with social media strategies and plans.
  • Create graphic design content using InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and Canva.
  • Create video content using Canva and Adobe PremierePro.

Strategic Partnerships Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform research on potential donors and resource mobilization opportunities that align with the mission and activities of RWI, especially opportunities with UN agencies, EU and other regional institutions, foundations, and the private sector.
  • Support internal coordination, information management, and communication to manage current and cultivate prospective partnerships.
  • Prepare correspondence and documents for letters of inquiry, concept notes, grants applications, and presentation/promotional materials.
  • Track and analyze global policy trends, platforms, and milestones that are of strategic value to expanding RWI’s partnerships.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria:

As this is an unpaid internship program, we would strongly prefer that you undertake the internship as part of a degree program. Recent graduates who wish to gain crucial work experience are also welcome to apply.

– Fluent in English, with excellent writing skills
– Highly organized, self-motivated, collaborative, with strong attention to detail
– Familiarity with social media platforms, specifically LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Bluesky
– Ideally familiar with InDesign, Illustrator, Canva, Photoshop, and CMS such as Webflow or WordPress
