Network Analyst

Position Summary:

The Network Analyst position is part of the IT Infrastructure Services group and is responsible for operating, maintaining, and supporting enterprise network systems and services. Primary responsibilities include the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades of the campus wired and wireless network infrastructure. This position will also supervise student workers in Network Services and provide backup support for classroom technology and cable plant operations. The Network Analyst reports to the Director of IT Infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the campus wired and wireless network infrastructure.
  • Maintain and manage network security appliances.
  • Manage configuration and software upgrades for network and security equipment.
  • Follow and maintain network configuration and security best practices.
  • Supervise student technicians working in the IT Network Services area.
  • Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Provide primary troubleshooting support for classroom and venue audio/visual systems.
  • Provide secondary support for physical security systems and door locks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Active member in a local church and demonstrated commitment to OC’s Kingdom University ideals.
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and lead projects from start to completion.
  • At least two years of experience troubleshooting enterprise network equipment and working with relevant technologies, including HP/Aruba switching equipment, HP/Aruba wireless controllers, Fortinet Fortigate and Fortianalyzer equipment, Microsoft Windows operating systems, Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to provide effective technical support to faculty and staff and perform minor classroom modifications.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and safely climb ladders.
