The Admissions Counselor for Online Nursing, Education Pathways, and Adult Programs

Position Summary:

The Admissions Counselor for Online Nursing, Education Pathways, and Adult Programs serves as the primary point of contact for prospective students interested in Oklahoma Christian University's online and adult-serving academic programs. This position guides students through the admissions process while supporting recruitment initiatives, workforce development efforts, and community partnerships that contribute to enrollment growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary admissions contact for online, adult, degree completion, nursing, and educator preparation programs.
  • Guide prospective students through the admissions and enrollment process.
  • Build partnerships with healthcare organizations, school districts, employers, and community partners.
  • Represent the university at recruitment events and community outreach activities.
  • Manage recruitment pipelines, CRM records, and communication campaigns.
  • Collaborate with campus departments to support a seamless student experience.
  • Support the mission and values of Oklahoma Christian University.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience in admissions, enrollment, student services, recruitment, healthcare, education, workforce development, marketing, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with prospective students, employers, and community partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Willingness to travel within Oklahoma and work occasional evenings and weekends for recruitment events.
  • Active member of a local church and committed to the Christian mission and values of Oklahoma Christian University.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with adult learners, online education, healthcare, nursing, K–12 education, or workforce development.
  • Experience building community partnerships and supporting recruitment or outreach initiatives.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
