Position Summary
Oklahoma Christian University invites applications for a full-time Program Chair of the Online BSN Nursing Program beginning Fall 2026. This in-person position serves as the administrative leader of the program, overseeing curriculum, faculty, and operations while supporting student success and program growth.

Primary Responsibilities
As the Program Chair, you will serve as the strategic and operational leader for the Online BSN program. Key duties include:
  • Program Leadership: Provide leadership for the development, coordination, and evaluation of the Online BSN curriculum and program outcomes.
  • Faculty Management: Oversee faculty assignments, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development; collaborate on strategic plans.
  • Student & Partner Success: Support student recruitment, retention, and academic success. Coordinate seamlessly with hospital partners and internal university departments.
  • Compliance & Budgeting: Ensure strict compliance with nursing accreditation standards and state reporting requirements. Responsibly manage the program budget and assist with resource development.
  • Community & Mission: Participate in university committees and administrative functions. Actively promote the Christian mission and values of Oklahoma Christian University.
  • Travel: Occasional travel to hospital partner sites is required.

Position Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
  • Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Mission Alignment: Active member of a local church and fully aligned with OC’s Christian mission and values.
  • Skills: Demonstrated leadership, strong verbal/written communication, and exceptional organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Nursing or a closely related field.
  • Prior experience in undergraduate nursing education/teaching.
  • Proven experience in academic administration, nursing leadership, or program management.
  • Familiarity with online learning management systems (LMS) and student data software.
