Admissions Counselor for Online BSN & Other Adult Programs

Position Summary: The full-time Admissions Counselor for the Online BSN (Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing) & Other Adult Programs is responsible for recruiting and guiding prospective students through the admissions process. This position focuses on student outreach, application support, and building relationships with healthcare and community partners to promote program growth. The is a on-site position that does include some remote flexibility and is subject to funding. The Admissions Counselor for the Online BSN (Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing) & Other Adult Programs reports to the Chair, Online BSN

Primary Tasks:
  • Serve as the primary contact for prospective students interested in the online BSN track and other adult studies programs
  • Coordinate student and workforce partner recruitment initiatives for the School of Nursing and other adult studies programs
  • Maintain and manage a prospective student database through consistent communication, marketing campaigns, and events
  • Represent the university at receptions, college fairs, education fairs, and community networking events
  • Collaborate with the undergraduate admissions office to coordinate outreach and recruitment activities
  • Partner with enrollment and retention staff to meet program enrollment goals and support student success
  • Act as liaison to academic advisors and assist students throughout the enrollment process
  • Demonstrate behavior that reflects the mission and values of Oklahoma Christian University
  • Other duties as assigned
Primary Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of two years of related experience in marketing, public relations, student affairs, nursing, or community and educational settings
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal) with the ability to represent the School of Nursing and Oklahoma Christian University professionally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; experience with Canvas, Slate, Ellucian or Colleague preferred
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Oklahoma Christian University and the School of Nursing
  • Willingness to work flexible hours during peak periods and travel within the state as needed
  • Active member of a local church and aligned with OC’s Christian mission
