We are looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our passionate Payroll team. You will be a key player in improving our payroll handling even further and enabling Northvolt to continue the journey towards a more sustainable future.
About the job
The Senior Payroll Specialist plays a crucial role in our organization, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll while maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This position is pivotal in supporting other entities during the implementation of new systems and processes, collaborating closely with HR to support our employees' needs.
About the team
The team consists of 6 people in different locations who support all employees across all Swedish entities.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Handling employee and business partner queries (HR, Finance, Tax)
- Compile reports on base and premium pay
- Support our internal and external customers that have payroll inquiries
- Analyze and process off-cycle pay, special payments, adjustments and reversals
- Determine root cause of payroll errors by collecting and analyzing information under strict deadlines
- Manage Audits, Workers compensation audits and any state tax notices
- Assist with the development of payroll policy and procedures, contingency plans and process improvement initiatives by leveraging existing tools and processes
