We are seeking an experienced IT Support Site Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. This role is a part of our outstanding IT Support team based in Heide, Germany. By joining us, you will play a key role in providing excellent IT support to all our users and contribute to building one of the first large-scale European battery factories.

About the Job

As an IT Support Site Manager, your role is to lead a local team of skilled IT professionals who will manage, deliver, and actively drive improvements for the IT infrastructure, tools, and services that directly support the workforce at your site. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our workplace areas and will act as the first point of escalation after the engineering teams for any incidents or prioritization clarifications. You will work closely with other site leads to improve and build global and local processes and procedures.

About the Team

You will be part of Northvolt's global IT team, distributed across six locations. The team consists of about 20 engineers in four different teams and sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the local IT support team.
  • Collaborate closely with relevant stakeholders to maintain and improve the workplace.
  • Drive improvements and procedures with local leads as well as with other sites.
  • Act as the first point of escalation.
  • Handle IT hardware procurement for offices and construction sites.
  • Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.
