Are you our new Fire safety and ATEX manager? We offer an interesting role where you will
have the opportunity to contribute to Europe's transition to renewable energy. We are looking
for someone who wants to continue to develop our way of working and be part of our
passionate team in Västerås. The role reports to our Senior HSE Manager In Västerås and
the department includes colleagues with expertise in the environment, work environment and
machinery safety. Northvolt's mission is to build "the greenest battery in the world" with a
minimal carbon footprint and with the highest recycling ambitions to enable the European
transition to renewable energy. In Västerås, you will find our Research and Development
facility to industrialize the production of lithium-ion batteries. We work closely together with a
low level of hierarchy, and we encourage different backgrounds and experience levels. What

we do it with excellence.

As the Fire and ATEX Manager you are responsible for the systematic fire protection work,
LBE and LSO and Emergency Response. You drive the strategic work in your area while
also being Northvolt Västerås' ATEX specialist in a more operational way. You make sure to
keep you and our organization updated on changes that are taking place in the outside
world. You are responsible for ensuring that our processes and working methods comply with
relevant legislation and develop the work within your area of responsibility. If necessary, you
will also conduct training for managers and employees. You are a requirement setter and
advisor for technical fire protection installations and subsequent inspections in connection
with new constructions and renovations. You will also be involved in insurance issues and
develop loss prevention work.

We are looking for a fire engineer, or someone with a master's degree in risk management or
equivalent. Advanced studies (Master's level) in chemistry or work environment combined
with experience in ATEX and fire safety can also be a relevant background for this role. You
have several years of professional experience in ATEX, fire, damage prevention and crisis
management, preferably from industry or the rescue service.

As a person, you are driven, flexible, persistent and used to working independently and
systematically towards set goals. You enjoy working close to the business and being out on
the jobsite. You are pedagogical and have the ability to arouse commitment. For us, it is
important that you are driven by the desire to create a good safety culture. You feel
comfortable with contacts with authorities and are already used to conducting government
dialogues. Since we are an international organization, your ability to express yourself orally
and in writing in both Swedish and English is a requirement. There is also a requirement for a
