Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Principle Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent team based in Skellefteå and Västerås. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing our cathode active material department and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job

The main function of Principal Engineer CAM technology, is to improve all aspects of the operation and engineering to meet the business needs of Materials BU. This role will cover the improvement of operational reliability, operability and maintainability of all means of CAM processes.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Participate actively in design reviews, offering valuable feedback and insights to enhance CAM process.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers to comprehend high-level designs and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Understand cathode manufacturing trend and translate them into detailed technical development for process design improvements through Manufacturing.
  • Technology discovery and evaluation, partnership building and benchmarking of CAM manufacturing equipment.
  • Provides solution, support and training to Operations staff to ensure quality output.
  • Transfer CAM process equipment trouble shooting skill and support to solve chronic failures.
  • Continuous improvement of state-of-the-art CAM processes to optimize product quality & process reliability, minimize production costs based on experience and knowledge.
  • Develop manufacturing standards, tools, processes, guidelines, etc.
  • Support commissioning processes from a technical expertise perspective.
  • Develop and transfer the technic of maintenance and overhaul for production equipment and connected support systems (i.e. RHK and RK, Saggar handling system).
