Job Description

Our Engineering team at Northvolt Poland is looking for our next Hardware Design Engineer! This is a great opportunity to work with the development of our battery management systems to the grid, industrial and automotive industry.

The BMS plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of battery packs used in electric vehicles (EVs), renewable energy systems, and other applications. The BMS market is expected to grow significantly due to the rise in EV adoption and renewable energy projects. Being part of this growth trajectory provides excellent career prospects.

The team is located in Gdansk, and you'll be collaborating with electrical, mechanical, embedded software and testing teams.

What you would work with:

• Working in conjunction with system, software and mechanical engineers ascertaining the customer requirements and ensuring seamless compatibility and integration of the designed solution.
• Proposing the hardware architecture for new or existing hardware component systems. This includes creating or modifying detailed schematic designs for hardware systems and platforms, as well as PCB layout and BOM creation.
• Overseeing the testing and validation of hardware designs, ensuring they meet all necessary functional, performance, as well as safety, and environment standards (EMI/EMC).
• Documenting the design and testing process and preparing detailed reports on test results, analytics, and performances, along with potential improvements.
