Northvolt Amérique du Nord est à la recherche d’un.e gestionnaire en affaires publiques pour rejoindre notre équipe. En tant que membre clé de l'équipe Communications et Affaires publiques, vous jouerez un rôle essentiel dans le développement et la mise en œuvre des stratégies de politiques publiques et de relations gouvernementales de Northvolt. Le candidat idéal aura une compréhension approfondie des processus gouvernementaux au Canada et au Québec, ainsi qu’une connaissance des politiques publiques aux États-Unis, des compétences éprouvées en matière de réflexion stratégique, d'excellentes compétences de communication en français et en anglais, et la capacité d'analyser avec précision l’évolution du paysage politique en Amérique du Nord afin d'influencer les décisions d'affaires de l’entreprise. En nous rejoignant, vous jouerez un rôle clé dans l'établissement de Northvolt Six et aiderez à construire l’une des premières installations intégrées de fabrication de batteries en Amérique du Nord.

À propos de l'équipe

L'équipe de communication et d'affaires publiques de Northvolt North America est principalement basée à Montréal, Canada. L'équipe joue un rôle central dans le développement du projet Northvolt Six, agissant comme le lien principal entre les équipes internes et les parties prenantes de la société civile, du gouvernement et des médias. L'équipe est également responsable du positionnement proactif de Northvolt sur la scène nord-américaine, à la fois pour ses opérations de fabrication de batteries et pour Cuberg, une filiale de Northvolt située à San Leandro, en Californie, qui développe des produits à la fine pointe de la technologie à base de lithium métal

Les principales responsabilités sont :

• Tenir une veille des développements législatifs et réglementaires pouvant avoir un impact sur les opérations de l'organisation, en fournissant une analyse et des recommandations en temps opportun.
• Mener des recherches approfondies et rédiger des notes sur les propositions législatives, les réglementations et autres initiatives affectant l'organisation.
• Développer et maintenir de solides relations avec les responsables gouvernementaux, les agences et les décideurs politiques.
• Représenter l'organisation lors de rencontres, d'audiences publiques et d'autres engagements avec les parties prenantes gouvernementales et industrielles.
• Travailler en étroite collaboration avec des groupes, des associations, des membres de l'industrie et d'autres parties prenantes pour amplifier les efforts de plaidoyer de Northvolt.
• Surveiller la couverture médiatique et le discours public liés aux questions importantes pour l'organisation, en identifiant les opportunités et les risques.

Manager, Public Affairs

Northvolt North America is looking for a Manager, Public Affairs to join our team. As a key member of the Communications and Public Affairs team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing Northvolt’s public policy and government relations strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of government processes in Canada and Quebec, as well as experience in American public policy, proven strategic thinking skills, excellent communication skills in both French and English, and the ability to accurately analyze North American political landscapes to influence business decisions. By joining us, you will play a key role in the establishment of Northvolt Six and help build one of the first integrated battery manufacturing facility in North America.

About the team

Northvolt North America's communications and public affairs team is primarily based in Montreal, Canada. The team plays a central role in the development of Northvolt Six, acting as the main link between internal teams and stakeholders from civil society, government and the media. The team is also responsible for proactively positioning Northvolt on the North American scene, both for its battery manufacturing operations and for Cuberg, a wholly owned Northvolt subsidiary located in San Leandro, California, which develops state of the art lithium metal products

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that could impact the organization's operations, providing timely analysis and recommendations.
• Conduct in-depth research and prepare briefs of legislative proposals, regulations, and other policy initiatives affecting the organization.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with government officials, agencies, and policymakers
• Represent the organization in meetings, hearings, and other engagements with government and industry stakeholders.
• Work closely with groups, associations, industry members and other stakeholders to amplify Northvolt’s advocacy efforts.
• Monitor media coverage and public discourse related to issues of importance to the organization, identifying opportunities and risks.
