We are looking for an driven manufacturing associates to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent production team based in Västerås. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing up and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.
About the job
As an Operator, you’ll work at the heart of Northvolt – where battery cells are manufactured. Key duties involve control and monitoring of the machines, re-filling material and contributing to continuous improvements on the line.
Precise tasks and what your working day looks like depend on where in production you work. In some Operator roles you don’t work close to machines, but instead service workstations with materials, ensure batteries are packed and ready to leave the factory, or support production in other vital ways. You will work in in close collaboration with other operators, shift leaders, maintenance, quality and environment personnel.
At Northvolt, you will be part of a fast-growing company with high energy. Battery production is a completely new base industry in Sweden. Unlike many other industries, most of the production occurs in cleanrooms and are highly automated.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Control the machines and materials used in production
- Perform risk analysis and issue permits according to routines
- Work proactively with the maintenance team
- Actively participate in Safety, Quality, Environment and Improvement work according to Northvolt routines and legislation
- Support managers and colleagues in creating a good working environment through inclusion, motivation, engagement, creativity, good communication and high ambitions
