Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Project Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our bold Launch team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing/ramping up XXX and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job

As the Project Engineer in Northvolt Ett, Launch Team you will manage the development and implementation process of a product. You will coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products. You will monitor the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules. You will organize cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project i.e. product on schedule.

This integrated planning comprises the key parts from all the detailed plans of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Automation & Process equipment, Commissioning and ramp-up through to the start of Operations.

You will be working closely with various departments and their stakeholders to design and implement a plan - both in terms of time and quality. The environment has high demands on flexibility, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

In general you have a positive and can-do attitude and are able to influence counterparties to achieve Northvolt goals. You have been driving large, innovative and challenging projects with very high demand on accuracy and team spirit

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide overall project schedule, estimating, progress measurement, and change management support and expertise in the launch of new products.
  • Review and report project schedule with ongoing project analysis, reporting, forecasting, and change management.
  • Control project schedule outcomes by recommending and deploying management interventions with support of the Program, Project Management, Engineering, Procurements teams, executed through the Clients Owners Representatives and Contractors.
  • Develop schedule estimates to support risk and opportunity assessments, Project funding, Project reviews, and ad hoc requests.
