About the Blueprint Team:

The Blueprint Department is on a mission to develop a digital factory blueprint for a scalable, rapidly deployable, highly efficient world-class battery factory. It constitutes a complete solution that spans process, equipment, materials, facility, utilities and people, with guidelines and tools needed for the establishment of a factory.

The Factory Layout & Modelling team within Blueprint is focusing on the hands-on, holistic engineering of the factory design. This technically diverse team is responsible for figuring out how everything physically will come together within the factory, coordinating complex and multi-disciplinary requirements to a balanced total design. The team is also responsible for generating, developing, coordinating and managing all drawings, models and visualizations needed for the factory design.

(Senior) Factory Layout Engineer

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing holistically optimized factory designs as an integral part of Northvolt Bluprint Engineering, focused on concept and basic engineering phases.
  • Owning a multi-disciplinary design scope, delivering great solutions to highly demanding stakeholders.
  • Generating and managing drawings, models and metadata in 2D and 3D CAD-environments
  • Support development of internal toolboxes and ways of working, help pushing the frontier of modern factory design practices.

We are looking for someone with solid experience from either construction design and/or production design. This role will place you right in the cross-section of these fields; leading the strive towards truly great designs by managing all interfaces and aspects of the production facility.

We believe that you have:

  • B.Sc/M.Sc. in Engineering, preferably within Production, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or production development, preferably focused on factory layout, factory/production design, process design or similar
  • Solid experience in Factory Design tools, practices and procedures.
  • Great English written and oral skills.

Bonus points for:

  • Know-how in the Autodesk ecosystem is highly qualifying
  • Intermediate mechanical CAD-skills
  • Genuine interest and curiosity about tools, visualizations, and the technical frontier

CAD Infrastructure Engineer

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain tools, infrastructure and ways of working used by Factory Layout Engineers and other team members
  • Own, develop and maintain Autodesk Vault servers, associated databases and backend scripts critical for the daily operations of the team
  • Develop and implement automations, integrations, standards and workflows within the team’s toolbox, CAD environments and associated APIs
  • Own and develop the internal CAD-library used in the Factory Design with focus on Production & Material Handling Equipment
  • Support the team with mechanical CAD-expertise and asset generation, as well as standards such as CAD-guidelines
  • Help pushing the technical frontier on how to integrate a broad suite of design tools and platforms in a modern and data-driven factory design environment.

We are looking for a real CAD-enthusiast with solid experience in relevant tools and digital infrastructure development. You will be in the beating heart of our factory design process, leading technical way forward towards the frontier of our field.

We believe that you have:

  • M.Sc. in Engineering, ideally within Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or Production Engineering
  • 3+ years of professional experience in CAD tool management, with a focus on process and production equipment development within Autodesk Vault environments
  • Solid proficiency in design tools such as Inventor, AutoCAD, Navisworks & Revit
  • Intermediate Programming/Scripting skills
  • PLM know-how is expected
  • Great English written and oral skills

Bonus points for:

  • Some experience in production design/factory layouting
  • Great Mechanical CAD-skills
  • Experience in the broader Autodesk/Siemens design suites is highly qualifying
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM experience

BIM Coordinator

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with multi-discipline engineering teams and project stakeholders to ensure optimized BIM deliveries and support through all project phases

  • Conduct clash detection and model change management within assigned scope through-out the design process

  • Ensure project compliance with BIM strategies, guidelines and practices

  • Compile and report model data and design insights to key stakeholders

  • Support development of the internal BIM toolbox and ways of working together with internal experts, design teams and stakeholders

We believe that you have:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in relevant Engineering field such as BIM, Construction/Architectural Design or similar

  • At least 3 years working experience in relevant BIM roles

  • Experience from industrial design projects/environments

  • Genuine interest in BIM and CAD tools and practices

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in CDEs (Common Data Environments) and Model Management

  • Experience in the Autodesk Ecosystem

Architectural Designer, Industrial & Masterplan

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing holistically optimized factory designs as an integral part of Northvolt Blueprint Engineering, focused on concept and basic engineering phases.
  • Generate and deliver architectural drawings, models and associated metadata, in close coordination with discipline experts and technical stakeholders.

  • Help develop internal toolboxes, libraries and ways of working, pushing the frontier of modern factory design practices.

We are looking for someone with solid experience from construction design and modelling, preferably with industrial projects in the portfolio and with a genuine interest for CAD and BIM. This role will place you in the middle of a cross-functional and fast-paced environment; supporting the design team with architectural know-how, visualizations and creative solutions to a complex building puzzle.

We believe that you have:

  • Exam in Architectural Design or similar.
  • 3+ years of experience in architectural design and/or drafting, preferably from industrial oriented projects and designs.
  • Solid practical experience in factory design tools (such as Revit and AutoCAD) and procedures.

  • Great English written and oral skills.

Bonus points for:

  • Know-how in the Autodesk ecosystem is highly qualifying
  • Experience in developing Ways of Working and Guideline documents
  • Genuine interest and curiosity about tools, visualizations, and the technical frontier
