Job Description

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Production Data Analyst to join our passionate team in Västerås, Sweden.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large-scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon-free society.

We are looking for a data analyst with an engineering background to focus on optimizing and developing new methodologies to support data-driven planning and manufacturing execution.

We are using purpose-built software and data platforms to collect and store large volumes of real-time data from the manufacturing line. You will use this data to assist in tracking manufacturing effectiveness and identifying opportunities for improvement. You will work closely with engineering and management to define and track KPIs with consistency, accuracy, relevance and timeliness. You will also work closely with Data, Software and Digitalization teams to define requirements for new capabilities of the Northvolt Data Platform.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Enabling data analysis for KPIs to organization in an accurate way
• Building up and maintaining visualization boards (on Looker ) to track KPIs
• Developing and following up KPI metrics and the bases on data system (ex.OEE & Yield&Output)
• Training & coaching on relevant stakeholders (production developers, maintenance, engineering) to make them able to track their own activities according to data
• Coordination with Digitalization, automatization and central data team for development on tools
• Preparing data analysis on specific production problems to find correlation between production steps if required
• Data driven process tracks for capacity planning with Logistic

Qualifications and experience:

  • ​​Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.​
  • ​​Proficient in data analysis and statistical modeling. Strong ability to translate data into actionable insights.​
  • Experience with data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python.
  • Experience with Looker (highly required), preferably Power BI.
  • Proven experience in extracting, cleaning, analyzing and visualizing large datasets with dashboards.
  • Highly preferred having a production background in a pilot or high paced industries such as automotive, semiconductor etc. (ex. as data analyst, production, quality or industrial engineering)
  • Familiarity with lean concepts or quality regulation (like IATF 16949, ISO 9001 or VDA 6.3) is a big plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to convey technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a simple way according to company needs.
