Job Description

Northvolt has an exciting job possibility for an Industrial Engineering Manager, you will be a vital member of the Manufacturing Engineering leadership team and key to Northvolt's mission to enable the future of energy. You will be working intimately with the Equipment Engineering & Process teams to design and implement a highly automated production process both in terms of efficiency and quality.

Your team’s mission is to introduce and manage Industrial Engineering tools and processes into Northvolt’s Manufacturing Engineering landscape. This entails e.g. building up a global OEE Roadmap for all equipment in the value chain. Your team will perform work measurement studies as well as create & analyze the workload models for our upcoming Gigafactories. This data will be used to optimize gross margin through capacity improvement and streamline operations. Furthermore, your team will analyze potential factory layouts and execute changes to optimize manufacturing capacities. The role will require an in depth understanding of Industrial Engineering & Lean tools and you need to work closely with multiple stakeholders across the organization.

As an Industrial Engineering Manager you will recruit, manage and develop the team that is working cross-functionally together with other teams such as Production, Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering to develop and maintain the Industrial Engineering blueprint, one of the key building blocks of a large-scale battery factory.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Hire, manage and develop a team of Industrial Engineers
  • Introduce and manage Industrial Engineering tools and processes
  • Coordinate development of standards and concepts, including implementation and roll-out phases
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across NV organization
  • Manage the timeline of Industrial Engineering upgrades
