Northvolt is now looking for a Process Engineer to join our R&D team within the hydrometallurgical process for our battery recycling operations.

As a skilled R&D Process Engineer, the ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, validating, and improving innovative recycling processes for battery recycling.

The Process Engineer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop new processes, identify and resolve challenges, and implement improvements to processes.

For this, you will have a minimum of five years of experience in the field and have been driving large, innovative, and challenging projects within hydrometallurgy, with high demands on purity and yield. You must also have the ability to plan, develop and execute multiple projects under tight timelines, with an excellent time management.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To plan, design and execute complex and multiple R&D projects for the development of Revolt´s recycling process, working in a high paced environment.
  • To plan, test and validate advanced battery recycling technologies, in close collaboration with the industrialization team, providing information for process implementation in Revolt´s recycling plants.
  • To assess the quality of products, including by testing it for cathode active material production and electrochemical performance in cells.
  • To collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success, including engineers, technicians, and production staff.
  • To develop IP for Revolt´s blueprint.
  • To evaluate the process performance and implement appropriate changes.
