We are looking for a seasoned and dedicated Production Quality Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Quality team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing the highest quality performance in our production in Northvolt Ett and contribute to building one of the first large-scale European battery factories.

About the job

The Production Quality Manager at Northvolt will lead a group of approximately 30 Engineers, Technicians, and Associates, ensuring team performance and customer satisfaction. The manager will be responsible for a dedicated quality area, supervising and supporting production quality employees to ensure that standards are followed, employees are trained, and lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities in relation to non-conformity and quality issues.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Implement and audit standard procedures and instructions
  • Lead, review, and establish the Quality Control plans for each process operation
  • Set up quality monitoring procedures, define quality KPIs, and make improvement proposals
  • Ensure the development of production quality employees and leaders
  • Participate and input in change management, engineering change notification and deviation approval processes. Review results and action tracker and initiate improvement projects. Drive cross-functional and cross-technological manufacturing projects and opportunities. Drive quality improvement and optimization projects utilizing six sigma methodology.
  • Participate and input to quality gate reviews in the industrialization phase of Product and Process Development to ensure reliable manufacturing of products. Be part of the equipment commissioning team.
  • Support in the recruitment and development of Production Quality Employees
