Founded by scientist and entrepreneur Dr. Jade Bouledjouidja, Renasens has developed an innovative technology that transforms textile waste into new fibers. Our patent-pending technology uniquely recycles both pure and blended fibers like polycotton without sacrificing quality. Energy-efficient and cost-effective, it produces yarns with the same quality and feel as virgin textile, at same price, supporting a closed-loop textile system
We’re scaling our team and seeking a driven Research and Development Engineer with experience of working with supercritical fluid technologies in textile or fiber treatment applications. In this role you will implement and develop a process for polycotton fiber separation and drive the development of our technology forward, in collaboration with our cross-functional team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of separation process of polycotton fibers
- Characterize the recovered cellulose and polyester fibers
- Participate in the implementation of a pilot plant and scaling of the technology
- Assist with the spinning of new yarns,
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team and external partners.
We are looking for the following qualifications:
- PhD in Chemical or Process engineering
- Proven experience in using super critical fluids
- Mastering separation process of fibers
- Very driven with high standards and work ethics
- Curious with Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Self-motivated team player, with ability to work independently
- Great communication (fluent in English) and project management skills
- Wanting to make an impact in a smaller team with big vision
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, Stockholm, Sweden
