About the role

As the Expansion Lead, you will play a key role in expanding the Norrsken mission and geographical footprint by project leading the launch and opening of new Norrsken Houses. From evaluating new markets and conducting research to developing the business cases and proposals required for funding, you’ll navigate between high-end strategic thinking and operational hands-on work.

Additionally, you’ll manage the Norrsken Expansion Blueprint to ensure a standardized and effective framework/“backbone” for our global growth. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders both internally and externally, and become the go-to-person for guidance, expertise and know-how on how to turn a concept into a global movement.


This role reports to the Head of Expansion & Strategic Initiatives and is based out of Norrsken House Stockholm.

Key responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Drive end-to-end project management of Norrsken House expansions (from exploration to opening), leading and overseeing budget, real estate fit out, stakeholder relationships and collaboration required to deliver on timelines and milestones (including legal, leasing, and design), until a local managing director has been onboarded.

  • Complete ecosystem assessments for new market entries, shaping the local ecosystem overview and what Norrsken can contribute with in the local ecosystem that isn’t currently satisfied.

  • Support on real estate sourcing and fundraising for new houses by activating network to engage in selective introductory dialogues and engaging with local stakeholders and potential co-founders.

  • Lead local onboarding, managing the integration of new team members in each new location.

  • Continuously develop and manage the Expansion Blueprint, maintaining all essential documents (e.g., timelines, milestones, contracts, business case, budgets, recruitment profiles, and property criteria) based on completed work and learnings from previous expansions.

  • Selectively lead prioritized strategic initiatives by owning the end-to-end planning and execution of selected initiatives

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience from e.g., management consulting, start-up/scale-up operations, real estate/proptech expansion or equivalent.

  • Openness to international travel – both short exploratory trips (days) and longer site stays (months) during launch phases.

  • English (working proficiency), additional languages are a plus.

What we offer you

  • The position will be based in Stockholm and will require traveling.

  • The salary level for this position is 50,000 SEK, 7 weeks of vacation, health benefits, pension, parental top up and relevant insurance, as well as the potential opportunity to invest in Norrsken’s funds.
