Event Operations Intern

Are you excited by the idea of helping events come to life and making sure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly? Do you enjoy organizing details, working with people, and supporting experiences that bring communities together?

We are looking for an Event Operations Intern to support the planning and execution of events hosted at Norrsken House Barcelona. You will report to the Event Lead and collaborate with the Operations and Front of House teams to ensure events run smoothly and guests have a seamless experience.

This role requires availability Monday to Friday, 08:30–12:30, and presence onsite at Norrsken House Barcelona. This internship requires a commitment of at least 20 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months.

What you’ll do

As an Event Operations Intern, you will support the full lifecycle of events, from preparation to execution and post-event reset.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Event preparation

    • Help prepare event rooms, seating layouts, and materials.

    • Ensure event equipment such as screens, microphones, and cables are ready before events begin.

  • Event execution

    • Support check-in and help guide speakers, organizers, and attendees.

    • Monitor event spaces and assist with logistical needs during events.

  • Post-event reset

    • Help reset rooms and shared spaces after events.

    • Ensure equipment and materials are properly stored and organized.

  • Operational coordination

    • Work with the Event Lead to ensure event logistics run smoothly.

    • Identify small operational improvements that could improve future events.

Requirements

  • Ability to commit to 20 hours per week for at least 3 months.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish.

  • Must be able to sign a convenio with your university.

  • Interest in events, hospitality, or community operations is a plus.
