House Operations Lead (Platschef)

Are you a passionate operations specialist that thrives in a fast-moving environment? Does creating smooth processes and welcoming spaces make you genuinely excited? Then you might be who we’re looking for!

We’re looking for a House Operations Lead to take Norrsken House Stockholm to new heights. Opened in 2017, Norrsken House Stockholm is the first hub of the Norrsken ecosystem and a lighthouse for impact in the Nordics. It’s home to 600+ members and a space where top founders, funders, advocates and enablers come together to bring forward solutions to the world’s greatest problems. This is where collaboration sparks, innovations are born, and where people come to work to ensure that impact entrepreneurs win. But this is just the beginning.

As House Operations Lead your mission is to create the best conditions for our members and guests to thrive and succeed. Your focus will be to develop and oversee the daily operations of Norrsken Stockholm House, leading key facilities initiatives and projects. You’ll design flows and processes for physical experiences as well as digital to ensure we operate a world-class co-working space. If you equally enjoy creating beautiful work- and event spaces as well as troubleshooting tech and IT, this role is for you. You’ll report to the Head of Platform Nordics and be a key player in our tight-knit Nordics team where you'll collaborate with our suppliers and vendors to turn Norrsken House Stockholm into a space people long to come back to.

This role requires you to be on site at Norrsken House Stockholm Monday to Friday 09-17, as well as POC for safety and security which means occasional work and calls outside these hours.

Key responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Facilities management: Lead the day-to-day operations of our co-working hub. You’ll ensure everything from furniture and plants to F&B and IT is curated to excellence and runs smoothly, creating a strong environment where our 600+ members can focus on building a better future for us all.

  • Procurement and relationship management: Act as the primary point of contact between Norrsken and our suppliers, vendors and building partners (cleaning, maintenance, security etc). You’ll lead procurement processes from scoping to contract renewals and negotiations.

  • Project management and budgeting: Own House Operations OPEX budget including follow up on actuals vs. budget. You’ll have ownership to drive enhancements and improvements to our space by managing renovations and budgets to ensure every SEK is invested to the most impact.

  • Tech & IT: Own the digital experience in our House. You’ll troubleshoot and seek ways to optimize our conference room tech, Wi-Fi, printer and guest check-in systems, ensuring that "working from Norrsken" is a friction-free experience for every member and visitor.

  • House experience and support: You’ll own member NPS and take lead on implementing improvements based on feedback. You’ll serve as a point of contact for all venue/House related questions from both members and external guests visiting the House (e.g. desk set-ups, shared spaces, security etc).

Who you are

  • You’re a doer. You thrive in an autonomous setting where you show up, identify things that can be improved and then drive them from start to follow-up. You have a “I’ll figure it out” mentality and enjoy solving problems in real-time.

  • You’re genuinely passionate about designing welcoming spaces. You obsess about details and how a space feels and functions, from lightning, flows and placements. You take pride in creating an atmosphere where people feel inspired and invited the moment they walk through our doors.

  • You’re a team player who isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves. At Norrsken, we succeed as a team. You should thrive working in a cross-functional team where we put impact over ego and the experience of our members and guests before our job descriptions.

Requirements

  • 5 years experience within operations, facilities management, events or similar.

  • Strong communication skills, with fluency in English and Swedish, written and spoken.

  • Ability to work on site Monday to Friday, 09-17, with occasional calls from building partners outside these hours.
