We partner with food and FMCG companies to save products at risk of going to waste by re-selling them at awesome discounted prices directly to consumers: fun, cheap, and accessible to all. Today, we are present in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Germany and Austria.

Working at Matsmart-Motatos, you will join our fight against food waste and have the ability to contribute to making the world a better place.

We are now looking for a motivated and sales driven E-commerce Merchandiser to optimize Motatos.dk to reach our sales targets. In this role, you'll work towards the Danish market and be part of the Nordic team based in Stockholm, a driven sales team that has a lot of fun. Together, we execute the sales plan every day!

What you’ll do as Merchandiser with us

  • Managing the commercial activities on Motatos.dk: including campaigns, promotions, headers and feature pages.

  • Use historical sales data, market trends and upcoming commercial activations to forecast demand accurately.

  • Analysing daily sales & categories, customer behaviour & site performance, market trends & competitor activities to identify customers needs and act accordingly to drive sales. Use data-driven insights to adjust strategies and make informed decisions.

  • With the help of a Publisher, you will be responsible for the quality of the content on the product pages.

  • Optimize stock levels, minimize overstock or understock situations, and reduce costs. Implement effective inventory control measures.

  • Collaborate with the purchasers team to set competitive pricing that maximizes profitability while remaining attractive to customers.

  • Optimize internal search, navigation and ranking, based on customer behaviour

  • Work closely with other Merchandisers and a CRM Manager in the Nordics to increase & optimize sales every day

  • Work closely with other departments: marketing, design, products team & purchasers and customer services to align merchandising strategies with overall business goals.


To be successful, you need

  • Around 2-3 years of experience in online sales

  • A degree within business, or similar

  • Fluency in Danish

  • Excellent English skills

  • Understanding of e-commerce KPIs

  • Interest in driving results and improving our ways of working

  • Have a strong interest in sales and e-commerce.

  • Have the ability to work quickly and efficiently, with an excellent eye for detail and accuracy

  • Are interested in customer behaviours and trends - a strong understanding for customer needs

  • Are a doer and thrive in working hands on

  • Are a true team player
