Berlin (Hybrid / On-site) | Freelance / Contract Basis | Loadwise.ai About LoadwiseWe connect data center infrastructure to real-time energy markets and grid signals. The EngagementAct as the facility reality check for the Loadwise platform. You have built/run/operated data centers. Ensure the platform reflects operational realities; shape integrations, product decisions, and deployments based on real-world constraints. Approx. 3–5 days/month, flexible. What You'll Work OnOperational Grounding & Product Direction: Review decisions from an operator perspective; define quality for core integrations (cooling, power, automation); help prioritize features.Integration Acceleration: Guide engineering through vendor-specific quirks and real-world protocol behavior; design integration pathways within facility constraints; support early deployments and troubleshooting.Customer & Partner Engagement: Join technical customer conversations; feed ecosystem knowledge back into product/commercial decisions. Example ProblemsUPS cycling for DR/optimization; telemetry available from DCIM platforms; adjusting SLAs to create flexibility without compromising reliability. What We're Looking ForData Center Operations: Direct experience running/scaling live environments; familiarity with facility management systems; experience with power, UPS, generators, cooling, redundancy architectures.Customer & SLA Perspective: Understand interactions between operations and uptime guarantees; relevant in colocation, hyperscale/cloud, HPC research, integrated compute operators.Technical Breadth: Read/reason about integration schematics, control sequences, and system architectures; participate in architecture discussions with software engineers.Collaboration & Mindset: Explain operational realities clearly; challenge assumptions; curiosity about software-driven efficiency and energy responsiveness. What We OfferFlexible engagement (day rate, contract, or project-based). Simple process: a couple of conversations with founders to align on scope and move quickly.
